The girls and I are sitting in front of the Maison Carrée in Nimes, built in 16BC by the Romans and nearly perfectly preserved today.

We were in Nimes together 4 years ago.

And nothing has changed… shopping, gossiping, relaxing, eating and smiling in no particular order.

I’m behind on my gift giving.

Although I don’t like being late…

I still have a little time to send my gift.

But I have been meaning to share this part of my gift.

It took me longer than planned to get to it.

Some gifts are nice when they are a little delayed.

While the kids and the adults were having fun talking and playing I was shooting.

Which is fun too…

But the fun doesn’t always end with the camera.

Sometimes I play after.

I could play all night with the images but tonight I need to get a good nights sleep.

My French boyfriend likes to pose for the camera.

He’s an expert at smirking and making funny faces.

I prefer when he is just being himself.

But as he is my favorite French boyfriend and we don’t see each other often I can live with a grimace or two.

My French boyfriend has more French friends.

They love to play together.

Especially at le parc (the park) where they challenge the jungle gym…

Or maybe it’s the jungle gym challenging them.

Either way I agree with my French boyfriend… there is nothing better than time at le parc with French friends.
