Architecturally, KL (as it’s often called) is best known for the sparkling Petronas Oil Company’s Twin Towers. The towers were the tallest in the world until being surpassed in 2004 by Taipei 101.

This metropolis boasts 66 shopping malls, plus an Ikea.  Retail sales bring in twenty percent of the county’s tourism revenue and cash registers are ringing.

The Pavilion Shopping Center

The city’s ethnic mix of Bumiputera, Chinese and Indian creates a culinary dream for food lovers. From Chinese noodles to Western cocktails KL has it.

The Pavilion Shopping Center offers one of the best food courts I’ve ever seen and an open air walkway offers a plethora of fashionable alfresco dining and coffee houses. There is no shortage of choices at this six floor shopping mecca.

Beyond eating and shopping at Suria KLCC (a 1.5 million sq. feet mega mall located at the base of the Petronas Towers), tourist sites include Central Market, Chinatown, KLCCP (Kuala Lumpur City Centre Park) and the National Mosque.
