Bridget’s daughter Ciara is my new best friend.

She never seems to tire of having her photo taken – this is probably why we get along so well.  These are just a few of the many photos we took together.

Her mom likes her in black and white but I like her in color.  She’s a pink kind-of-girl.

Recycle-A-Bicycle has generously purchased three of my bicycle images which will remain on display above the workshop area.

As it’s almost Spring, there is no better time to visit the shop to consider purchasing a refurbished bicycle and of course see my photographs.

Not only was this a little tricky because we were inside and I don’t like using my on camera flash but boys between the age of five and eight rarely sit still.

However ice cream sundaes seemed to hold them long enough.

For the past few weeks I have replaced shooting time with research and outreach. I’ve connected to people all over the world to learn more and find inspiration.

Ironically I have discovered a lot of amazing Mom photographers.  Their projects, images and community have been a great place for me to find new challenges and ideas.  So thank you to About A Boy (Katrina is an amazing motivator), Shutter Sisters, One Hundred Photos, New Girl On The Block, I See Pretty and many more for sharing your photos, ideas, and inspirations.

I’m reenergized to take on new projects including shooting more people – which scares the crap out of me.  So it was great timing (and a sign of true friendship) that two of my mommy friends (with Bugaboos and babies) made the journey with me this week to Brooklyn to visit my exhibition.

As you can see Ryan and Bridget were excellent models!

But my friend Tatiana recently joined the company Tribal Societé.  This dynamic company offers a variety of environmentally friendly jewelry and accessories made by artisans of tribal villages around the world.
