The count down is done and for most people the pressure is on to keep and maintain their New Year’s resolutions.

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions my goal list is constant. It’s reviewed and updated every six months with the French girls and I’m counting down the days until I see them!

My personal projects slowed down this year because of my travel schedule but I still found small pockets of time to learn and challenge myself to grow.

These images were taken this summer at a workshop in Maine and even though my progress has been slow I’m happy with the results.

What are you making time for in 2012? I will definitely find more time for my photography!

Thanks to Tamara and all the wonderful ladies I met in Bar Harbor this past Summer, it was truly a pleasure!

iPhone 4S Cont’d

I haven’t had time to process the photos from my Canon and it may not happen until the holidays.

But in the interim I wanted to share a few more iPhone photos.

These polaroids are fun.

This was an amazing trip…

I’m thankful I was able to take time off and discover this region of the country.

As my Italian friends say “poco a poco” (little by little).

Not So Far

People often feel Paris is far away.

I don’t think it’s far and this Eiffel Tower is very close…

It sits on a bookshelf in my apartment. These photos will be added to the Color Your World project I’m trying to keep up with.

Dark Beauty

I like taking pictures at night.

It can require strong nerves and knowing how to hold still…

Especially when standing by yourself on a creepy bridge in Paris at an hour that would upset most mothers.

Well not all the pictures were taken on a creepy bridge by myself.

Thankfully I have some fancy friends, with some pretty fancy views.

I don’t talk a lot about the past.

But I do enjoy looking back at my photos.

Sometimes I like them more and sometimes I like them less.

But I love looking back and enjoying the memory.

My Turn to Play

While the kids and the adults were having fun talking and playing I was shooting.

Which is fun too…

But the fun doesn’t always end with the camera.

Sometimes I play after.

I could play all night with the images but tonight I need to get a good nights sleep.

Posing Expert

My French boyfriend likes to pose for the camera.

He’s an expert at smirking and making funny faces.

I prefer when he is just being himself.

But as he is my favorite French boyfriend and we don’t see each other often I can live with a grimace or two.

More French Friends

My French boyfriend has more French friends.

They love to play together.

Especially at le parc (the park) where they challenge the jungle gym…

Or maybe it’s the jungle gym challenging them.

Either way I agree with my French boyfriend… there is nothing better than time at le parc with French friends.
