My French Boyfriend

Posted by Leslie in Photography

Edgar My French friends may be far away but we often think the same things at the same time.

EdgarTaking pictures of children these past two weeks has made me think about my French boyfriend Edgar.  If you followed my original blog you may already be familiar with Edgar.

My French BoyfriendThis week I sent Edgar a picture of a New York train and his Mom a picture of the Chrysler building to remind them of New York.

EdgarEdgar often asks about me before he goes to sleep, “Et Leslie…elle fait quoi Maman?” (And Mom…what is Leslie doing?).  He is convinced I never go to sleep because when it’s bedtime in France it’s daytime in New York.

(Last Monday, March 1st, Edgar turned the page of our NYC calendar.  The March photo is of the Chrysler building.  I explained to Edgar that you live very close and we tried to see where your building is….and he kissed the photo to send you a kiss.)

My French BoyfriendEdgar’s Mom will be borrowing a book from the library to explain to him in simple terms time change, the earth’s rotation and why when it’s night in France it’s daytime in the US.

But until then Edgar loves New York (notice the New York t-shirt) because it’s the city that never sleeps.

Gros bises (big kiss) to my boyfriend Edgar and a little reminder of our photo shoot last summer in the park overlooking Clermont.

Enjoy!

Little Girls

Posted by Leslie in New York, Photography

Smiles It’s great to shoot little boys but after a day visiting my friend Bridget I think it’s even better to shoot little girls.

CutieBridget’s daughter Ciara is my new best friend.

Little Girls

She never seems to tire of having her photo taken – this is probably why we get along so well.  These are just a few of the many photos we took together.

SmilesHer mom likes her in black and white but I like her in color.  She’s a pink kind-of-girl.

Cool SneaksThanks Bridge!  More to come…

Enjoy!

Bicycle SeriesRecycle-A-Bicycle has generously purchased three of my bicycle images which will remain on display above the workshop area.

Bicycle SeriesAs it’s almost Spring, there is no better time to visit the shop to consider purchasing a refurbished bicycle and of course see my photographs.

Boys, Boys, Boys…

Posted by Leslie in Photography

Boys, Boys, Boys... I’m continuing to challenging myself with shooting people and this week I was lucky enough to capture my nephews.

IMG_3Boys, Boys, Boys...379I Got Him... Boys, Boys, Boys... Not only was this a little tricky because we were inside and I don’t like using my on camera flash but boys between the age of five and eight rarely sit still.

Boys, Boys, Boys...However ice cream sundaes seemed to hold them long enough.

Boys, Boys, Boys... Boys, Boys, Boys... Next time I promise to get the whole family.

Enjoy!
